Yeah, I agree with you on that. You are going to have to watch 5D's again probably to properly write some scenes. I too will have to rewatch certain things for my rewrite.

*shrugs* Why haven't I done a lot of things? Why did I lurk around the board for a bout 2 years before I finally decided to start actively posting in episode 10 thread? Why haven't I started writing that Yu-Gi-Oh fic I started planning all the way back when GX began airing in America? (Okay for that one I haven't started because it's trapped in development hell because I keep telling myself it's not ready.) I just haven't, I guess.

Shipping pairs never really bothered me much ether until the subject of Kotori x Tetsuo was raised, for some reason that paring has a weird effect on me, I think I might be developing and unreasonable biased for Kotori that will probably only be second only to my Miku Hatsune biased, which by the way currently, to quote you're old sig "Knows no bounds". ;)

I don't actually hate Tetsuo, maybe it seems that way because the subject of Kotori x Testuo came up and that seems to put me in a belligerent frame of mind. (I'm sure there are a few shipping's that have that effect on you) Like I said in the episode 11 discussion I think it would have been interesting to see Tetsuo tag with Yuma against those guys, which might have happened if he and Kotori had gotten there as Kotori went to Tetsuo because Yuma needed help. I guess i just want him to do something besides stand around and bee grumpy, I was expecting him to be the Jonouchi of the series but so far he's more like Honda who I don't so much care for. (But that might be the dubs fault as I've yet to see DM subbed in it's entirety.)

Oh and Speaking of units in Cathy's army I imagine Cathy has a medical unit of cats who wear helmets like "Rescue Cat"? :)

Oh god, I was thinking about how Code Geass was brought up in the ZeXal 13 discussion and my mind recreated the table scene only it replaced what's her name with Cathy and the Magazine of Euphemia with the pictures of Kotori...:$ *Ahem* Anyway... As to the spy cats taking Kotori's pictures, I'm not sure about that because she was showing those pictures to the cats so they could identify her. Given the Kotori picture collection she had I'm gonna choose to believe that Cathy is confused, she wants Kotori but due to her age she isn't able to understand her feelings and so she trees to rationalize it by convincing herself that the feelings of jealously she feels when she see her beloved Kotori with Yuma are the result of her liking Yuma because she unconsciously tells herself she couldn't have feelings like that for another girl so she forces herself to believe she loves the idiot instead.

At least that's how it's going to work in my fantasies from now on. :P

That makes a sad panda :( As I said in episode 12 discussion I can't support Kotori x Tetsuo or Kotori x Yuma (or Yuma x anyone for that matter, that idiot should never have the opportunity to breed) I'll only ship Kotori x Me (although Miku might get mad :S) or Kotori x Cathy, although I'm not normally into yuri I honestly wanted episode 9 to turn out that Cathy wanted to split Yuma and Kotori up because she wanted to get Kotori away from that moron, it would have made more sense then Cathy having a crush on possibly the most annoying Main character to ever exsist. My god look how many pictures of Kotori she had, I was jealous. (Not to mention that those pictures with the low angles and leg focus I saw look like they were taken to be used for "other" purposes that I won't discuss out loud.)

As for why they keep letting Yoshida write, my current theory is that he's probably the only writer they can get who will bend over for the corporation.

(Had to do 2 messages becuase my origional message was almost 2000 characters long...) *Clears throat* So yeah the point I was trying to make (I think) is that no matter how much we want it I don't see Kotori getting back story and development, like you said eventually she'll become another Aki, honestly I think Yoshida made her a non-duelist so he can more rightly justify later in the series when she's reduced to doing nothing but standing around saying "Yuma..." over and over again. At least unlike Aki and Yusei I don't expect any resolution to Yuma and Kotori's relationship, given their ages.

*sigh* Well on a brighter note I bought some booster in YGO Online today and I got "Meklord Emperor Wisel". (I wasn't trying to get him but it was a nice surprise.)

Yeah, I remember that rant, as for character development for the "side characters", you know I like Kotori but I never really thought about her getting development, I guess that goes to show how much faith I have in Yoshida's writing ability. Plus I tend to draw parallels between Kotori and Ruka and well you know what happened to her once Yoshida got his hands on her, just like he de-powered Aki, her status as a dueling prodigy was tossed out the window (Yoshida needs his women to sit on the sidelines, card games are a man's business after all) and we got no new information about her, hell one episode that made me rage like crazy was 74 when Yusei dueled Antimony for the first time, Ruka was with the group for the whole episode and was only permitted to speak one line (and of course it was her worrying about Yusei). I remember thinking that whole episode, "Is Ruka a mute suddenly?" then when she finally got a line my honest reaction was "Holy crap she can talk!"

Oh yeah, I never thought of the POV thing. With so many characters in my story, it would be hard to do. I guess from Ruka's point of view...

So you'll have her and Astral as the leads? I'd like that a hell of a lot more than Yuma. In fact, I'd love your story even more if Yuma is hit by a bus in the first chapter, in the first few paragraphs.

Hell, you should make Kotori the main character and push Yuma as the cheerleader.

I can honestly see Tetsuo crushing on Kotori and her just being the kindhearted girl she is and not realizing it. Then she likes Yuma for whatever reason and he becomes jealous. Good idea there, really. If the anime doesn't do its job properly to express this past, I suggest you take notes for your rewrite.
