Good to hear you're doing well! My pokemon interest is increasing again after a lul over Christmas. Some of the English names are epic. My favourite is Palpitoad. It redeemed its awkward design. XD#

Good news on that front. My exams are finally over, so I should be able to get that done this weekend, and have Kohaku arrive literally on the deadline, with any luck. Then, amusement and actual character interaction can occur! 8D

Cos the Yugimons hates women. I can like with Ruka. She hasn't changed much. And I can live with Sherry, even as madly flirtatious as she is in this game. But Aki seems to have literally had a brain transplant with a random airhead...

Probably. I think it depends on how used you are to the names/how difficult the names are whether you err on the Japanese or Dub side. I have a feeling I may still refer to some of these pokemon by their Japanese names just because I've used them so much. Gen4, I didn't pay as much attention to the names, just the designs, so was less fussed. But certain pokemon I've grown to love by one name may stick with that name... Eg. The ___ppus, Chiramii, Zuruggu.

A week's still pretty fast! I mean, it does depend on the game, but it's still pretty brisk.
Yeah, the depressing bit is I have to prevent myself from killing things while partnering lobotomised Aki and drag Ruka through duels before I can get my nice shiny evil Machine Emperors. XD#

Lol, yay for fast game completion! I've already done 3 plotlines on TF5. Yusei, Jack and Crow are always the easiest ones to complete though.

Minccino is kinda odd. I guess I'm just so used to having the 'Ch' sound at the beginning of the name it feels weird. I think Chiraccino may remain the same though. They like their name patterning do Pokemon USA. Pigeon Breast = Big Pecks makes me LOL though, especially since in slang terms they mean the opposite of one another. XP

Yeah, you do have to marvel at that. Someone obviously never learnt how to properly pronounce accented 'e's. It's a tad depressing when that happens, I mean, it just takes a drop of common sense... But ah well.

Yeah, those all make sense. Chirachiino/Chilachino could remain as well, seeing as it doesn't sound Japanese. It strikes me as more Latinate, so I could see it being retained.

LOL. Yeah, let's hope they never get that complacent. On the plus side, it looks like they're properly hyping it up, from the Zekrom and Reshiram ThanksGiving floats... They looked pretty cool.

Hmm, I dunno. I believe they might have done so before... The question is, which pokemon will retain their Japanese names, a la Pachi and Drapion? I'd plump for Emonga and Chillarmy as possible candidates...

Lol, that they could. They may do away with all previous naming conventions, as another way to set these games aside from the old ones. In which case... God knows what her name'll be.
