It's so mindbogglingly stupid, I can't even believe this is Konami's current business model. Release as many meaningless filler cards in promo slots in place of more memorable, and better cards.

It's like some got the novel idea of making mud sandwiches, and selling them for money. AND IT WORKED!

I don't remember GX or 5Ds literally flooding every single promo spot during its run. There was at least a balance. Either One Limited Edition Pack would be devoted to one series, while the promos in the magazine went to the other. Or it was evenly divided between the two. Now its just Zexal EVERYTHING. Zexal Limited Edition packs. Zexal V-Jump promos. Zexal Weekly Jump promos. And again, the manga and anime are just the same damn thing.

This is an insult to fan's intelligence. But so many people seem to be eating it up so maybe it isn't, lol.

I'd take Yoshida 5D's or the GX anime over ZeXal, to be honest. T.T I admit that I sort of enjoyed episode 10... only to be let down an episode later, that is... Meh, episode 11 easn't to bad, just... mediocre. The EXTREME meme that ZeXal has is unfitting, because it has no amusing over the top moments to make you forget about the poor story like YoshiD's had.

I want this loli out of my YGO, NAO! the Cathy episode has got to be my least favorite thing ever. Just makes me wish more and mote that Vangiard was the next YGO series. T.T x2

Kill me now. I'm trying to give it the benefit of the doubt now, thinking maybe the problems were just early series jitters, but the fact of the matter is that if the manga and anime are perfectly linked, we can never have a true plot because the manga will never catch up.

It's like living in Naruto/Bleach/One Piece/Weeaboo Series #983 filler hell forever, but with worse art. (...can't wait to see Ren tonight, though!)

You're not missing much :cm: It's like the Freedom filler hell of 5Ds cranked up to 11 in terms of stupidity & vapidness. Cathy not only annoyed me with how much of a moeblob stereotype she was, but the loli fanservice just made me feel icky. I don't see what's entertaining or alluring about this series. If this is passable, then what is it that makes a good YGO series? Cards? Shiny colors? Lots of overdramatic yelling? Is that it?

The quotes each of the figures say amuses me. Yami Yugi says "Ore no turn! Draw!" and "AIBOU!!!" Anzu says "Duel standby!" her catchphrase after previewing an episode, and then.. "Don't worry! Next time you'll win!" And of course, Yami Bakura says "Ore-sama no turn!" and "Now...let the game begin~!" as if he's about to instigate a Game of Darkness or something.

I'm glad you got Vanguard. As for me, I've been enjoying FMA again, and getting into Berserk. I'm happy with the 5Ds manga though. It's shaping up to be more interesting with each and every chapter.

Yeah, it's why while I'm amused and happy Yuma got curbstomped and humiliated... I can't feel THAT excited or interested. It still sucks and is crap. I'm just.... Meh. Zexal just blows. 10 weeks in and this is the best the show can give.

In other happier, YGO news, I went to AKON and got my hands on three of those one coin YGO mini-figures. The ones with the swirly eyes. They're so awesome. I lucked out massively. Got the secret Yami Bakura, then Anzu, and finally Yami Yugi. I've been in a mood to watch DM now. :cm:
