Actually, disregard my last comment: I'd prefer not. We've had too many duels end with "HURRHURRHURRANTICLIMAX" results, we don't need a third one setting that tone. If you don't want Rand to win/look particularly competent, we can work something out so it doesn't turn into a slaughterfest.
You can work it out with Axel, I guess, and it isn't storyline important so no need to get too detailed with it, but we are having a lot of anticlimactic duels in this RP :P

It helps to read the actual posts in the thread :P Shiori'll be on a recruiting spree for the AEAS soon, so it shouldn't take long before she tracks him down again. Feel free to bump into any other students you can strike up conversation with though.
Well, putting that duel on hold for a bit since Jabber and I had to finagle a way to keep the RP moving past the one scene. I'm waiting on DarkYami to let me know he's got a custom NPC finished, and then I'm having Shiori drop Rand off to pick up his schedule and moving on with the scene. She'll probably also give him an AEAS sales pitch (her club).
I've got work tomorrow from noon til 4 (PST) but other than that I should be more or less free the rest of the day.
Why would the backstory of fictional knights interest Shiori? She's interested in real conspiracies. She'd be more likely to interpret it as a message of the Iluminati or something :/ As for a rank duel, yeah, if we want to have one- Jabber might be on tomorrow, in which case moving on faster might be in order. If we need to stall for more time, I think it's a good time for a suspicion duel.
Probably not- the only teachers we have are bad picks for the moment, so it's best to just wrap up this scene with him. So the question is, would Rand do anything to incite Shiori's suspicion that he's a spy from another school/a mole of some sort? If so, it's possible she might challenge him to test whether he's as big an amateur as he says. (That or if you want them to duel, she could always just offer a teaching game). Atm I'm thinking she's going to want to lead him to the student council and/or drop him off with Yuzuki to get him set up with a rank pin.

Would you be interested in dying for the sake of the- I MEAN, HAVING RAND PUT ON THE SPOT FOR A DUEL? -shot- No seriously, we need a bit of downtime filled while Jabber gets us ready for a field trip arc, and I've offered to fill it with Hiraku's first riding duel class. I don't know which character you'd be playing, but would you mind Rand being pulled forward in an effort to make sure we spread the spotlight a bit?
