Aha, I see. I suppose it is easier that way. Less chance of knocking your deck over when you go to put things in the graveyard.
    2. DarkYami
That is simply beautiful. I applaud you, good sir.

One thing though, doesn't the graveyard usually go above the deck-zone?
    3. DarkYami
      Your signature... It is AMAZING~!
Just thought I'd let you know! XD#

Happy Birthday Wilren! Sorry for the lateness.
    5. AeaChan
Aaaaaw, I see. Still sounds fun though, so if you ever feel like sharing a peek...*shot*

I kid, I kid. Good luck with the ficmaking all the same though.
    6. AeaChan
Oooh, such a coincidence. I've actually been working on an Academia-based fic myself. Though admittedly I'm doing it more from the perspective of just letting loose and having fun with the overused and poorly represented clichés of the format. Do share a link when you release yours; I'd love to read it. The concept of mahou shoujou in card games already has my interest piqued.

And yeah, rituals just to that nifty level-one-for-trap immunity devil too, so it looks like you'll have no lack of choices. Myself, I'm mostly messing around with the possibilites of Stone Statue of Aztecs, specifically in combination with Battle Mania, Ojama Trio(+ Battle Mania for OTKO), and Fairy Box (50/50 chance to smack the opponent in the face for 4000 damage if they attack). It's hardly competitive, but I'm hoping it will be fun.

Butyeah, good luck with the writing and the deck building. I know from experience that both can be a lot harder than they have any right to be. Hope work is kind to you too.
    7. AeaChan
"Hope I didn't offend with that remark. :["

Far from it; I was just playing along. Sorry if I gave you the wrong impression. ;P

Buuut that reminds me we haven't talked in a while; what's new? XD

      wellcome to my world ....
    9. AeaChan
There's an easier solution to that, really. Personally, I like to flank Relinquished with Threatening Roar/Magic Cylinder/similar means. If Relinquished is robbed of his equip, I just flip the attack negation then suck in a replacement on my next turn. I always like keeping safeguards like that around in case of mass field-wipe, and given unlimited Breaker, I'd say Relinquished needs that more than ever nowadays. Alas, the new banlist is mean to poor old Reli. u.u
    10. AeaChan
And yeah, when I want Relinquished, I want it to stick. I've actually taken to playing rituals just for Releaser-based Relinquished and it's surprisingly vicious. Recurable by Dark Eruption too. Though sadly, my ritual decks tend to suck because I stuff in too much unnecessary stuff and misjudge how many copies each I need. Still, it's a blast to just suck up my opponent's big bad synchro and beat them over the head with its Atk while their beatstick summons are shut down.
    11. AeaChan
It seems like a right pain to build an actual deck on though, since Kinka, Savior, and G.B. really lack any semblance of a common thread in support. So all I can say is good luck with that deck. The way I see it, Saviors are still too much trouble for me. XD

Kinka itself, though, yeah, that's a card I do want to try building something on. Kind of doubtful on the Tuningware approach, though. I've tried a similar concept for a deck, but the luck of the draw despises me deeply and so I kept getting stranded with multiple copies Tuningware in hand and no machine dupe, or vice versa. Cyber Valley is a natural and getting RFGed is right down its alley, but that fact does kind of kill the reusability value too. Disc Commander would have been an obvious abuse outlet, but it's already been justly killed so so much for that. Beyond those, I've found Fishborg, Sinister Sprocket, Grave Squirmer, and Copycat to be potentially interesting targets, but not much beyond.
    12. AeaChan
...actually, come to think of it. There is a one-card way to keep your savior around. Remember our dear friend G.B. Hunter? As long as she's sticking around, any and all effects that rely on returning cards to the deck are null and void, and that includes De-Synchro so consecutively it should also include Savior Star. Might be fun to strap Mistobody on her and see where that takes you, since activating a removal effect would be a deathwish on your opponent's part. ;D
    13. AeaChan
As for Alector and Savior Star...well, I do believe Savior would dodge the bullet for one turn. Savior Star's penalty triggers on the End Phase, whereas Alector's negation lasts for entirety of the turn, End Phase included. That being said, Savior will attempt to run away on your opponent's End Phase too, so if you want to keep it for another one of your own turns, you'll need to team Alector up with Seal of Crushing Evil to keep Savior perma-negated. Technically, it can be done, but it seems a bit too much trouble to me. A Darkness Metal synchro deck could try its hand at that too, true, but you are kind of relying on provoking activations from your opponent on that one. Unless you do something silly like tribute it for Advance Draw if it wasn't tributed otherwise etc.

(...and stay tuned for the big reval? This character limit thing is getting silly <<)
    14. AeaChan
The character limit is out to get us all, I'm sure. Clearly, it's a government conspiracy. u_u

And oooh, Kinka-Byo! I love that fuzzy little cat! It's got one of those obscure yet strangely appealing effects to it, and while I've yet to make any proper Kinka deck, I do believe that there is one to be made there somewhere. Effects of the type 'tribute/destroy/return to hand 1 monster' work lovely with Kinka too, since it only RFGs if the card is still on your field in the End Phase.

      (savior part to come)

Yep, the whole regional encoding thing is just ridiculous to begin with. Makes me glad that I live in Finland which, for all its faults, doesn't broke that kind of nonsense.

And yeah, Alector in the garden makes a lot more sense than most people realize. Not only does the Rose Token summon set up Alector's own special summon condition, it also has a solid 2000 Def that walls just about anything with Garden out. As long as you run a no plants lineup, you can also sacrifice garden and three rose tokens to revive Alector with that Black Garden effect that people usually forget about altogether, which is what I'm trying to make use of with mine. I've been thinking of combining Alector and Ancient Forest too, alongside another new find of mine: Falcon of Mist Valley. (self-bounce one can be so much more than just a penalty)

And of course you wouldn't blame me. If you did, I would pull my sad puppy dog eyes on you which would make you feel bad about yourself. u-u
    16. AeaChan
As for the pic? I use various sources, but the Nanoha one was from shuushuu.net I believe. It's a lovely source for cute pictures of all kinds, and unlike most galleries it's pron-free.

And yeah, I loved that picture too, but having finally got to watching Umineko, I found Beatrice to be too awesome not to get a theme devotion. Plus, it gives me an excuse to use the pretty butterflies background.
    17. AeaChan
      Ew, what a rip. D:

Yeah, regional encoding is the devil. It's like they want to punish the people who actually try to do the good thing and buy legit. :\

And ah, that would explain things. Funny thing that, I was actually planning to do Crystal Beasts with Rescue Cat in ** myself, because I was like 'Hey, Airbellum makes that lame old Amethyst Cat move actually worth something'. Great minds think alike, I guess? XD Yeah, definitely going to give this concept a spin now. *swipes your decklist for SAification* If it's even half as fun as Garden controlling with Alector (Black Garden is the love of my life, but a Black Garden that gets effect negated on my turn is just vicious, and I could write an essay on all the little synergies but that would bore you out of your skull and I'd run afoul with the character limit) or Phoenix Yubel then it should be a blast to play. Give me a change of pace from my lame Lightsworn killall build too. (part 2 to come, freaking chara limit)
    18. AeaChan
Hmm...it's a bit above two weeks from that last message now, right? Did you get your StrikerS? (long overdue congratulations on that find, btw)

And yeah, sorry for the communication blip there. Just managed to get wrapped up in all kinds of stuff again and completely forgot that the ball was on my court. Now that I'm finally up to speed with the CotD reviewing, though, it's time to rectify that.

As for the new banlist...yeah, having hard negation on your side is certainly a lot more of a privilege these days. My poor Alector Garden deck lost two copies of its main effect negator, but I shall prevail. Especially since my standard negation set is usually two Dark Bribe, two Divine Wrath anyway.

Oh, and just as a point of curiosity, is there any particular reason that you are launching the Crystal blitzkrieg in the card museum? Is there some big up and coming deck concept that I'm in the dark about? =O
    19. AeaChan
Mmmhmmm...OTKOs may have something for the person who built them, but an autopilot could be arranged to actually play them. Makes me feel redundant in the whole process. I did had fun for a while with my own totally off-the-wall Montage Dragon OTKO, though (Ritual Summon Demise, field nuke, drop three high levle monsters for Montage and direct hits for game) but then that wasn't a proper OTKO to begin with so yeah. XD

And you've actually made those work for you? Impressive. Only Assault Mode deck that sort of worked out for me was the one I made for Doomkaiser Dragon, but then, it just won the game without Doomkaiser quite often, and limited Plaguespreader doesn't help with getting it off the ground either. xP

And yeah, waiting for the new stuff to come around is always a headache, which is why I'm glad I've gone the stingy route and just play online and the DS Games. Big selection; (relatively) little or no price.
    20. AeaChan
Got to say my heart goes out to mill first and foremost. There is just something about ripping through my opponent's deck and tossing all their key cards out of their reach that gives me this warm, fuzzy feeling. <3

I'm also fond of coming up with strange combos and trying out unusual decktypes and win conditions (Cloudians are my number one pet archetype; I *will* make them work proper yet), except for OTKOs, those are just...dull, really. So yeah, if it's not mainstream and not an OTKO, I probably have some interest in it. Winning the unexpected way is such fun.

...yeah, I only really play the game with friends, so I like to experiment to keep the game fresh. XD
